In May, 2010, I first visited Toronto when my granddaughter needed a serious operation(手术). She stayed at a hospital in the heart of the city because the hospital provide excellent medical treatment for us.  46  it was a beautiful city, my first impression of it was bad. My husband and I rented a room not far away from the            47  . Every day we walked from our apartment to the hospital. On the way we met many  48  things. Poor people asked for money. When you wave to a friend, you are using sign language. When you smile at someone , you mean to be  16 . When you put one finger in front of your  17 , you mean“Be quiet.”
