Everyone needs friends. We all like to feel close to someone. It is nice to have a friend to __26__, laugh, and to do things with. Certainly, _27_ we need to be alone. We don’t always want people __28__. But we would feel lonely if we never have friends.

No two people are just the same. Friends sometimes don’t get on well with each other. It doesn’t mean that they no longer __29__ each other. Most of the time they will make up (言归于好) and become friends again.

Sometimes friends __30__ away. Then we feel very sad. We miss them very much, but we can __31__ them and write to them. And we can __32__ new friends. It is surprising to find out __33__ we like new people when we get to know them.

There is more good news for people who have friends. They live __34__ than people who don’t. Why? It could be that they are happier. __35__ happy helps you stay well. Or it could be just knowing that someone cares about you. If someone cares about you, you take better care of yourself.
