A girl’s actress dream

Dear Helen,

My dream job is to be an actress, but my parents don’t agree with me. They don’t understand how I feel when I act. They even didn’t let me play a role in The Little Mermaid last summer. They asked me to swim. I was really angry. What should I do? Thank you.

Emma

Dear Emma,

Getting into acting is very difficult. I’m not saying that you can’t do well in it, but it’s important to be realistic.

If you really want to try, you should go to a good acting school in your free time and start learning. Then you should try to get leading roles, and then you’ll be close to success.

Talk to your parents and tell them you’d like to take some lessons you like. It would help you learn to move well and make friends. That’s all true anyway. Don’t be angry. They love you and want the best for you. Good luck to you!

I liked to discuss school life and my favorite music with my classmates on the radio. I kept on doing this job during the next six years. Do you make New Year's resolutions? What are your New Year's resolutions? The following is an e-mail. Here are my resolutions:

Dear Jim,

I have a lot of resolutions. The first one is to do some sports. Next is to keep my bedroom clean. Then I'm going to do my homework every day. I will not get into fights with people who really hate me. I am going to spend less time on computer games. I'm going to read more books. I know friends are very important in our life. So I'm going to make new friends who like me and don't just feel sorry for me. At the same time,I'm going to take more care of my appearance. I'm sure they will like my new look then!
