Johnny is a middle school student. He is nice,but sometimes he is lazy. One day,he didn't do his homework. He thought ,“I don't want to be punished (惩罚) ,so I need a good excuse (借口) . ”

     Johnny's excuse didn't work. And excuses don't work often. When we do something wrong,it's better to be honest (诚实) .By making an excuse we think we are avoiding (避 免) trouble,but we’re really making the problem bigger. By being honest,you will be a better person and people will like you more,especially (尤其) if he isn’t blamed (被指责) for eating your homework!
