When Amelia opened the door, she was very surprised. Instead of seeing a human outside, she found a small creature(生物)with very large ears.
“W-w-what do you want?” she cried. Amelia was worried that she had made a mistake in letting the creature in.
“Oh, some help, please. Nothing to worry about,” the creature replied as if it could read her mind. “My name is Hastings, and I come from a planet called Haste. You probably have not heard of it because it’s not in your galaxy (星系).”
“Sorry, I haven’t. However, I’m not sure if I can help you.” she replied. “But first, would you like some tea? I was so amazed to see you could speak that I forgot my manners.”
“Thank you, but I’m fine. Manners! Yes! That’s what I’ve come about. It is a good habit to have good manners,” Hastings said. “Unluckily, our children on planet Haste are so hasty that they forget them. So I thought I would come to Earth, and ask for some advice. Do you think you can be of help?”
“Well, I don’t know how,” said Amelia.
“I was wondering if you could write a blog(博客). On Haste, our children take more notice of things on their tablet screens than they do of their parents,” Hastings said sadly, “Too much technology in our lives”.
“That’s terrible. Every child should listen to their parents. After all, parents teach you good and bad habits for life, including manners. They do not just teach you about the right food to eat, but also about things like time management and having proper schedules. If you don’t have these things, then your life will be in a mess. You won’t be able to make right decisions. Then there are not things like honesty and thankfulness. Developing these is as important as proper hygiene(卫生)and taking exercise,” said Amelia.
“Exactly. 33 , ” said Hastings. “Now let’s make a plan.”

Facial Recognition System(面部识别系统)in China has taken the latest step forward.
In the past, people bought tickets or cards before taking the subway. Instead, people try the subway system in Shandong's provincial capital, Jinan. The riders(乘客) have paid for their ride by showing their faces.
People can download(下载)an app at the local subway station. The machine scans(扫描)your facial profile. This tells the system to scan a rider’s face. It can manage them automatically (自动)for the service from a pre-paid account.
Jinan Rail Transit Group tells the reporter that the facial recognition system is still having the first try. At present, there is at least one facial recognition machine at each station of Line No.1. With the help of this app, riders can get into the subway more easily and quickly, especially during the rush hour. So far, Cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin, has offered riders to use their mobile to automatically enter the subway systems.
