German chancellor (总理) Angela Merkel may look like an ordinary woman. She dresses plainly and doesn’t show much emotion. But don’t let appearances fool you.

Merkel was born in Hamburg, West Germany, on July 17, 1954. In 2005 she became Germany’s Chancellor.
