Are you spending too much time at home? To encourage more kids to enjoy nature, the National Trust from Britain has created a list of “50 things to do before 16” for teenagers.

The activities on the list are all outdoor activities, such as climbing a tree, picking blackberries in the wild and cooking on a campfire. Other interesting things on the list are going on a long bike ride, playing in the snow and exploring inside a tree. They were all once common childhood pleasures and cost little or nothing at all.

These days, teenagers spend more time at home. More than four in five adults say their children spend less time playing outside than they did at their age.
