【题目】 Were teapots invented (发明)as early as tea? No. The invention of teapots came at least 500 years after tea was first made to drink. During the early days of tea drinking, tea leaves were placed directly into a cup of hot water. It wasn't until the Yuan Dynasty that teapots were created. The first teapots came from Yixing. A kind of purple clay called zisha had been dug around Lake Taihu and it was used to make teapots. The clay can take in the taste of tea. Yixing teapots were made by hand and in some traditional ways. Yixing teapots are still used in China today, and they have changed little over the centuries. Chinese teapots have stayed nearly the same over the centuries. However, Western teapots have changed a lot in the European market since their first introduction to the West in the late 1600s.
