【题目】Everyone has got two personalities (性格) ----the one that is shown to the world and the other that is secret and real. You don't show your secret personality when you're awake because you can control yourself, but when you're asleep, your sleeping position shows the real you. In a normal night, of course, you often change your sleeping positions. The important position that best shows your secret personality is the one that you go to sleep.

If you go to sleep on your back, you're a very open person. You normally trust people and you are easily influenced by new ideas. You don't like to make people unhappy, so you never express your real feelings. You're quite shy and you aren't very confident.

If you sleep on your stomach, you are a person who likes to keep secrets. You worry a lot and you're always easily becoming sad. You never want to change your ideas, but you are satisfied with your life the way it is. You usually live for today not for tomorrow.

If you sleep on curled up (蜷缩), you are probably a very nervous person. You have a low opinion of yourself and often protect yourself from being hurt, so you are very defensive. You're shy and you don't usually like meeting people. You like to be on your own.

If you sleep on your side, you have usually got a well-balanced (平衡的) personality. You know your strengths and weaknesses. You're usually careful. You have a confident personality. You sometimes feel worried, but you don't often get unhappy. You always say what you think, even if it makes people angry.

Make better plans

If you begin to do something, you need to make a plan before doing it. The earlier, the better. You will know what comes first and what comes last. You’ll also know what you should do and what you shouldn’t do. If changes happen, you can have more time to deal with them.

【题目】阅读表达

When 19-year-old Sophia Giorgi said she was thinking of volunteering to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation (基金会), nobody understood what she was talking about. But Sophia knew just how important Make-A-Wish could be because this special organization (组织) had helped to make a dream come true for one of her best friends. We were interested in finding out more, so we went along to meet Sophia and listen to what she had to say.

Sophia told us that Make-A-Wish is a worldwide organization that started in the United States in 1980. “It’s a charity(慈善机构) that helps children who have got very serious illnesses. Make-A-Wish help children feel happy even though they are sick, by making their wishes and dreams come true,” Sophia explained.

We asked Sophia how Make-A-Wish had first started. She said it had all begun with a very sick young boy called Chris, who had been dreaming for a long time of becoming a policeman. Sophia said lots of people had wanted to find a way to make Chris’s dream come true --so, with everybody’s help, Chris, only seven years old at the time, had been a “policeman” for a day. “When people saw how happy Chris was when his dream came true, they decided to try and help other sick children too, and that was the beginning of Make-A-Wish,” explained Sophia.

Sophia also told us the Foundation tries to give children and their families a special, happy time. A Make-A-Wish volunteer visits the families and asks the children what they would wish for if they could have anything in the world. Sophia said the volunteers were important because they were the ones who helped to make the wishes come true. They do this either by providing things that are necessary, or by raising money or helping out in whatever way they can.

根据短文内容,回答下列问题。

1Did Sophia know how important Make-A-Wish could be?

2How does Make -A -Wish help children feel happy?

3What was the name of the first child Make-A-Wish helped?

4Why were the volunteers important according to Sophia?

5What is the passage mainly about?

【题目】 任务型阅读。阅读短文,根据其内容,完成下列任务。

Do you often put off doing something that you should be doing? It’s a bad habit called procrastination(拖延症).

The 2-Minute Rule is a method of ________ with the problem and the goal is to make it easier for you to get started on the things you should be doing. It includes two parts. Part 1 comes from David Allen’s book, “Getting Things Done”. It’s surprising how many things we put off that we could get done in two minutes or less, for example, taking out the litter, cleaning up your desk and sending an e-mail. If a task takes less than two minutes to complete, then follow the rule and do it right now.

Can all of your goals be achieved in less than two minutes? Of course not. ________, every goal can be started in 2 minutes or less. And that’s the purpose behind the rule’s second part. Once you start doing something, it’s easier to continue doing it. The most important part of any new habit is getting started--not just the first time, but each time. I love the 2-Minute Rule because it accepts the idea that all good things happen once you get started.

Want to become a better writer? Just write one sentence(2-Minute Rule), and you’ll probably find yourself writing for an hour.

Want to make reading a habit? Just read the first page of a new book(2-Minute Rule), and before you know it, you’ve read the first ten pages.

Use next 120 seconds to get one thing done. Go!
