Barnard Environmental Studies Magnet School in New Haven, Conneticut is Known as ”Green” school. which attracts 325 pre-school to sixth-students from all over the region（地区）who are interested in environmental studies.

Everything in the building is designed with the environment in mind. The lights 90oⅡwhen people leave the room. and special windows provide "passive light", cutting down on the need for electricity. When a window is 0pen. the air- conditioning automatically(自动地)turns off. Saving the energy is not all that students do lo help the environment.
