The train would start off on time. Just then an old man rushed on to it. He began to look for a seat, but could not find one. After some time, he saw an empty seat near a young man. He found that there was a bag beside him on the seat. He asked the young man if the seat had been taken. “Yes,” the young man said. “My friend had just gone out. He'll be back,” in a minute.” “I’ll leave as soon as your friend comes back,” the old man said. Then he sat down by the young man.
A few minutes later, the train started. The old man said to the young man, “Your friend has not come back. He has missed the train, but would not miss his bag.” With these words, he threw the bag out of the window. The young man jumped up in surprise and had nothing to do but looked at the tag lying on the platform(月台).
