Not long ago a terrible haze took place in many places of China because of the air pollution. It lasted for about 2 weeks and brought people much trouble.
The haze did great harm to people’s health. People, especially children and the elderly find it difficult to breathe. As a result, the hospital was crowded with sick people. On the road, people had to drive slowly because they couldn’t see clearly. Traffic jams were commonly seen in the streets. Because of the terrible weather, many flights also had to be put off.
In order to protect ourselves from the hazes, we should take actions to protect the environment. Firstly, we can ride or walk to school and tell our parents to walk to work instead of driving a car if they are not in a hurry. Secondly, we should plant more trees to improve the quality of the air. What’s more, the government should prevent the factories giving off the poisonous gas into the air.
As everyone knows, a good environment comes from good protection. So we should do what we can to make a difference. If so, we may live a happier life in the future!
