Other colors also have helpful effects on people.For example，blue helps the body relax，and orange tends(趋向) to improve a person's mood and make a person want to eat.

Colors were used to treat illness.Four thousand years ago，the Egyptians built healing temples of light，which filtered(过滤) some of the sun's rays(光线) and bathed patients in some colors to treat some illnesses.

Recently，studies have shown that colors can influence us though we don't see them.Kurt Goldstein，a famous scientist，is sure that a blindfolded(蒙住眼的) person will experience physical reactions under rays of different colors.In other words，the skin reads colors，and our bodies，minds and emotions reply to them.
