An adventure(冒险) race is a mix of different sports in one long race.Each team in the race has two to five competitors，and all must finish together.

These notes are about an international four?day adventure race.There were 68 men and women from many countries in 17 teams，and the race was in China.One of the women called Julie wrote these notes every evening.

Day 1

30 km on bicycles and on foot.Each team had only two bicycles.So the fastest runners did most of the running.Then 10 km on long skates(滑板) with wide wheels.Finally，across a lake in a kayak(皮划艇) (10 km)．

Day 2

Day 4

A 12?km run up a mountain and into a dark cave(洞穴)．Through the cave and then down the mountain on a rope.We cycled 50 km，then 12 km in a kayak and a 3?km run.

13 of the 17 teams finished.My team finished 10th.Our time was 26 hours and 53 seconds.
