A picture of a facial expression soon went hot on China' s social media platform during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Fu Yuanhui, a 1996-born girl ,became the second most popular word on the hot topic list because of her ecstatic(狂喜) reaction to her performance.
In less than 24hours, Fu has been discussed thousands of times on Weibo, Wechat and other platforms. Her photos have been used as emoticons(符号表情) and in cartoons. Her fans went from 100,000 to over 2.7 million on her Weibo in just two days.
“I did not reserve my strength. I have tried my best… I am very satisfied with the result and I have never thought about the final,” Fu said in her interview after the semi-final（半决赛）.
Fu was quite humorous in the interview. She used a phrase called “Hong Huang Zhi Li” to describe the great efforts she had made in preparing for the match, which also became a popular word on the Internet.
