“How did you get the scar on your face?” the teacher asked .
The mother replied ,“When my son was a baby,his room caught fire one day. ③Everyone was too afraid to get into the room,but I ran in. While I was running towards his bed,a big burning (燃烧的) wood fell down and I put myself over him trying to keep him from being hit by the wood. But I was seriously hurt and couldn’t move. Luckily,someone saved us. She touched the scar of her face.④“But I never feel sorry for what I did ,” she added.
On hearing that,the little boy was so moved that he ran towards his mother with tears (眼泪) in his eyes. He put his arms around her and held her right hand for the rest of the day.
