My dream

Now many people are talking about the Chinese dream. We all hope the dream will come true soon. Everybody’s hard work is needed. My dream is part of it.

Dear Dad,

Today I was at the shopping mall and I spent a lot of time reading the Father’s Day cards. I wanted to buy one for you, but none of the cards could say what I really want to say to you. So I wrote the letter.

I haven’t always been with you on Father’s Day. It wasn’t because I didn’t want to be with you. You know, dad, I was naughty(淘气> when I was young, I often made mistakes and you were always angry with me. For a long time, I thought you didn’t love me.

I remember once I stole a candy in a supermarket. I just felt it was fun. But you made me take it back, apologize to the man and pay for it.

At my birthday parties, you never played games with me, or said Happy Birthday. You were just busy blowing up balloons, setting up tables, and helping mom cook food.

I also remember when mom asked you to teach me how to ride a bike, I told you to held the bike, but you refused. I fell and cried. You just told me to try again instead of helping me.

When I was in a middle school, there was hard time between us. We didn’t agree with each other. We often argued about hairstyles, clothing, music and many other things.

Time goes by, I am a father now. when my son does the same things as I used to do, I understand you and understand a father’s love. I have realized how much I missed. Tomorrow will be Father’s Day. I hope it’s never too late to say I love you.

Now some women are spending a weekend at Mother’s Camp(营地). There, husbands and children are not allowed. Why would a woman want to take a vacation without her family? Some women say they need time to be alone.

At Mother’s Camp a woman has room for herself. She can sleep, read or watch TV, and no one will bother her. No children will ask, ＂Mom, what’s for dinner?＂ No husband will say, ＂Oh, dear, I can’t find any clean socks.＂ In fact almost 50% of women in the United States work outside the home. Many of them work full-time and then come home for a second job — taking care of their homes and families. These working women say one of their biggest problems is housework.

In the United States, working wives do about 75% of the housework. Many of their husbands say they want to help. But then they burn the rice or they can’t find the pans. They ask so many questions that their wives decide it is easier to do the job themselves.

Some women go to Mother’s Camp just to get a break from housework. For two days they don’t cook, they don’t clean and they don’t look after their children and husbands. What do they do? They enjoy warm, sunny weather, walking, swimming or boating in a clear blue lake and sing songs around the campfire. They relax away from home. They have a really wonderful vacation at Mother’s Camp.
