raven（渡鸦）．They can change their behavior to solve new problems．
For example，if they can't find one kind of favorite food，they learn to
eat something else．Their food can be small animals，fruit，eggs and rubbish．Because they eat so many different foods，they can live in lots of different places around the world：deserts，mountains，forests，cities，and the cold Arctic（北极）．
The size of a raven's brain may help explain why the bird is so clever．Its brain is much bigger than other birds'．For example，a raven's brain is five times as big as a chicken's although a chicken weighs twice as much as a raven．
Sometimes a raven can be too clever．A scientist names Konrad Lorenz kept a raven named Roah．One day，Roah picked up some wet clothes that had fallen off Dr．Lorenz's clothesline （晒衣绳）．The scientist gave the helpful bird some food．After that，Roah gave the scientist a lot of wet clothes from his neighbors'clotheslines!
