"That sounds great," he thought. Then he went to Pearl Farm for his holiday. But on the evening of the fourth day he returned home.

"Why do you come back?" asked his wife. "Did you enjoy country life?"

"Country life was fine," said Jeff. "But there was a problem."

"What was that?"

"Well, on the first day a pig died(死), and we had pork for dinner."

"On the second day a cow died, and we had beef for dinner."

"That's not bad."

"On the third day a sheep died, and we had mutton for dinner."

"A different dinner every day! That's great!" said his wife.

"But," said Jeff, " today the farmer died and I didn't dare(敢) to be there for dinner."
