       One year there was a heavy rain in a small town. For a week it rained every day. The river was in flood.
       Most people got away from the flood in boats. But a religious (敬畏神灵的) old man refused to go with
them. He sat on top of his house and waited for the water to go down.
      The water rose higher and higher. Soon it reached the top of the old man's house. Then two men in a boat
came up. Saving. "Come with us. The water is rising."
