We have grown up and it’s time for us to do something for our family, our school and society.

Waste can be seen everywhere in the school. Some students ask for more food than they can eat and others often forget to turn off the lights when they leave the classroom. They say they can afford these things. But I don’t agree with them.

Waste can bring a lot of problems. Although China is rich in some resources (资源)， we are short of others， for example， fresh water. Have you heard about paper-cutting? Paper-cutting is an important art form in China. Paper-cuts were used for many purposes, and everything can become the theme (主题) of paper-cuts, from people to the things that can be found in everyday life such as birds, flowers and animals.
