My sister and I wanted to have a surprise party for our dad's birthday. He didn't feel happy over the past few days, and we thought a party would help cheer him up (使他振奋）.We invited some of his good friends to our home.

My sister and I planned many parties before, so we had lots of party decorations streamers (彩纸条) and balloons.

My dad's birthday was on Saturday. My parents went to visit my grandpa in the afternoon. Then we started to prepare for the party. My sister cooked well,so she was in charge of (负责)the food And I was in charge of decorating the room. I blew up the bal?loons and decorated the chairs with streamers. Then I put some fresh flowers we bought on the table.

The guests came one by one. We asked them to stay in the room with the lights out. About half an hour later, my parents came back. When Dad walked in.I turned the lights on. It took him a few minutes to realize (意识到)that the party was for him. He was very surprised.

The guests had a great time visiting and Dad en?joyed his evening. My sister and I also had much fun.
