On March 23, a single goal led China to beat South Korea 1-0 in the 2018 World Cup qualifying match(预选赛）in Changsha, Hunan province. It is only China’s second victory over South Korea in the past 32 games these years.

So who scored the winning goal? It was Chinese striker Yu Dabao, 28, who plays for Beijing Guoan in the Chinese Super League.

He was born to a soccer-mad father in Qingdao, Shandong province. As a kid, Yu also fell in love with the game.
