A In case of fire
A1.The Class 7,Grade 7 students are learning what to do in case of fire. Read this information leaflet with them.
If there is a fire in your home or school, you can keep safe by following these safety rules:
. Never open a door if it feels hot.
A hot door can mean a fire is burning on the other side. If you open the door, there could be a lot of heat and smoke, and this is very dangerous. Try to find another way to get out or call for help.
. If your clothes catch fire, "stop, drop and roll".
Do not run—running will make the fire worse. Stop moving and drop to the ground. Cover your face with your hands. Roll on the ground to put out the fire.
. Never use lifts.
Lifts may fill with hot air and smoke. The fire may also damage the lifts so they do not work properly.
. Leave the building quickly.
Do not stop to take anything with you. Never go back into a burning building.
. Do not try to put out the fire yourself.
When you are outside safely, use a telephone to call for help.
