Good news or bad news? It depends on how you see things.

Robert De Vincenzo, was a great golfer. He once won a championship,so he got some money. When he received the money and walked alone to his car,he was followed by a young woman.

She congratulated (祝贺)him on his success. And then she told him that her child was seriously ill and near to death. She did not know how she could pay for the doctor's bills.

De Vincenzo was moved by her story. He took out the money he had won and said to the woman, "Pay for the bills. ,, And then he pressed the money into her hand.

The next week he was having lunch in a country club when a friend of his came to his table. "Last week someone told me you met a young woman after you won that championship. ,, De Vincenzo nodded (点头)."Well,"said the friend. "I don't know whether it's good news. She had no sick baby. She even hasn't been married. She cheated you, my friend."

"You mean there is no baby who is dying?"said De Vincenzo.

"That's right," said the friend.

"That's the best news I've heard the whole week," De Vincenzo said.
