John has a pet dog named Sunlight. He loves him very much. He ever told others that Sunlight was one of his family members.
One midnight, John¡¯s house was on fire suddenly. John was sleeping and didn¡¯t know what was happening. At that time, Sunlight noticed the fire and woke up John. John called the police. Soon the fire was put out by the police.
Now John often says to others, ¡° The dog is really my good friend. In the thick smoke and big fire, he could have run out of the house first, but he didn¡¯t. No matter how dangerous it is, he first thinks of his owner.¡±
Today more and more dogs are wandering ( Á÷ÀË ) in the street. Many people don¡¯t want to keep their dogs because they move to another place. Even some people say that they can¡¯t stand the dogs¡¯ dirtiness. Animals are one part of our society. Maybe our pets will give us a hand like Sunlight someday.
СÌâ1:We knew Sunlight is John¡¯s son from the passage.
СÌâ2:The police put out the fire that night.
СÌâ3:Sunlight ran away because he was afraid of the fire.
СÌâ4:Some people don¡¯t want to keep dogs because they move to another place.
СÌâ5:The passage mainly told us when something is on fire, you must call the police first.

Today, not all people over 70 think they are old. People stay younger for longer. Here are three women who are over 70 and are still strong. What do they do, and how long have they done it?

79-year-old Omara from Cuba(¹Å°Í) is one of the most popular jazz singers in the world.  She has been singing and dancing in clubs for 60 years. Her latest CD, Gracias, came out in 2009 and is enjoyed by people of different ages.

Dodo was born on September 1, 1919. She has been an outstanding American tennis player for more than 70 years, from a young girl into her 90s. Now she plays in the matches for people over 75 and has won over 320 medals.

American lady Carmen, who was born in 1931, has been a model since she was 13. Her job started when a photographer saw her on a bus and asked to take her photo. Today she still shows up on world-class fashion shows, shining brightly together with young girls who are in their 20s.

Being on the road at 3:15 am to drive 450 kilometers wasn't in my plans for the weekend. I had been looking forward to a few     days to prepare myself for the following busy     .
My son, Simon, and his good friends were heading for the snowfield. I     my car to make sure that everyone could get to the drop-off point so that they could get together and enjoy their week's     by snowboarding and skiing.
The only thing that l was thinking of on my journey was that as soon as I     and said goodbye,1 would make the trip      ,in total, a round trip of 900 kilometers in just 10 hours. Such a long drive in one day was frightening, particularly as I was looking forward to relaxation.
Simon and I talked, on our way, a little about his break and a whole lot of his school subjects. It was great to have this time with him as we      spent five continuous hours together.
On my return trip, I     a strange sense of loneliness in some heavy morning fog. Within an hour it cleared. I spent the next four hours listening to some CDs and enjoying the scenery. Surprisingly, after my long trip home l was     refreshed£¨»Ö¸´¾«Éñ£©and energized even though 1 was physically tired. And I knew that l would have a good sleep that evening.
A change in your environment, no matter how great, can provide you with the chance to look at something from different ways, as well as to be refreshed and energized. Now I'm looking forward to my next       event and many more chances to spend quality time with those who are important to me and make my life more rewarding.

An English traveler found himself in Norway with only enough money to buy the ticket for him to go back home. As he knew that it would take him only two days to get to England, he decided that he could easily spend the time without food. So he bought a ticket and got on the ship. The man closed his ears to the sound of the lunch bell. When dinnertime came, he didn¡¯t go to dinning room, saying that he was not feeling very well.
¡¡¡¡The next morning he still didn¡¯t have breakfast and at lunchtime he again stayed in his room. But at dinnertime he was so hungry that he went to the dinning room and ate everything the waiter put in front of him. He got ready for the quarrel(ÕùÖ´).
¡¡¡¡¡°Bring me the bill,¡± he said. ¡°The bill, sir?¡± said the waiter in surprise. ¡°There isn¡¯t any bill. On our ship meals are included (°üÀ¨) in the money for the ticket,¡± said the waiter.

Once, a circle lost a piece of its own. The circle wanted to be whole, so it went around, looking for its     piece. But because it was not complete, it could only roll (¹ö) very slowly. It enjoyed the flowers and the sunshine     the way. It talked with worms. It found lots of different pieces, but     of them fit. So it left them all by the side of the road and kept on     for the lost piece. Then one day the circle found a piece that fit    . The circle put the piece into    . It could be whole with nothing lost. It was so happy and began to roll. As it was a perfect circle, it could roll very fast, too fast to see flowers or talk to worms. It realized how different the world was when it rolled so quickly. It felt so sad     it stopped, left its found piece by the side of the road and rolled very slowly.
Sometimes we are perfect when we lose something. A man     has everything is poor in some ways. He will never have hopes, dreams or something    . He will never know someone loves him or someone is giving him something he has always wanted or never had.
We couldn¡¯t be perfect. But we must be brave enough to love, strong enough to forgive, kind enough to share     with others and clever enough to know there is enough love around us and then we can always have a wonderful time in our life.
