The tiger in the holeOnce upon a time, there were many tigers in the wild near a village. They attacked everyone they saw. Some people in the village tried to catch the tigers but they never returned, so the people dug a big hole in the ground and covered it with grass in order to catch the tigers.
One day, a man came to the wild and found a big tiger in the hole. The tiger said to the man, ‘Help me get out of this hole! I'll never forget you. If you help me, I'll protect you when you are in the wild.’ The man thought it was nice to have a tiger look after him. He found a stick on the ground, gave it to the tiger and helped it climb out.
The tiger came out of the hole and said to the man, ‘I thank you for your help but I have to kill you, because you people made the hole to catch me.’ The man was very angry. He said, ‘Wait a minute, Mr.tiger. You can't kill me because I didn't make the hole. Let's ask your friends to see who is right.
The tiger agreed. First, they came to the bear's home. The bear said to the tiger, ‘I think you should kill the man. People catch us and put us in the zoo. They take away our babies, too.’ Next, they went to see a cow. It also thought that the tiger should kill the man because people killed cows for their meat and skin.
At last, they came to see a rabbit. The rabbit said, ‘I have to see what happened first. Mr.Tiger, show me where you were when you saw the man.’ The tiger jumped back into the big hole. Then the rabbit said to the man, ‘I think you should run now. I know people kill many animals but we should always remember who helped us.’ The man survived.
Shirley is drawing some pictures of the story. Put the pictures into the correct order. Write the numbers 1-6 in the boxes.

“Is he expensive?”
“Well,” the clerk answered, “he always asks for his patients two pounds for their first visit to him, and 1.5 pounds for later visit.”

What are you going to do if you are in a burning house? How will you escape? Do you know how to save yourself? Please read the following passage.
Escaping a fire is a serious matter.Knowing what to do during a fire can save your life.It is important to know the ways you can use and show them to everyone in the family, such as stairways and fire escapes, but not lifts.
From the lower floors of the buildings, escaping through windows is possible, learn the best way of leaving by windows with the least chance of serious injury.
The second floor window is usually not very high from the ground. An average(平均高度的)person, hanging by the finger-tips will have a drop of about six feet to the ground. It is about the height of an average man.Of course,it is safer to jump a short way than to stay in a burning building.
Windows are also useful when you are waiting for help.Be sure to keep the door closed.Or smoke and fire may be drawn into the room.Keep your head low at the window to be sure you get fresh air rather than smoke that may leaked(渗)into the room.
On a second or third floor, the best windows for escaping are those that open onto a roof. From the roof a person can drop to the ground more safely.Dropping onto cement(水泥)might end in injury.Bushes(灌木丛)and grass can help to break a fall.
