Isaac Newton, the great British scientist, is often so deep in his thoughts that he will forget to eat his dinner.

One day his friend came to have dinner with him. Dinner was put on the table but Newton didn't come out of his study（书房）. His friend sat down and waited for him. After waiting for quite a long time, he decided that Newton must be so deep in some new theory that he forgot all about the dinner. So he began to eat the chicken without Newton.

It was over two months before Christmas when 9-year-old Mary told her father and me that she wanted a new bike. Her old Barbi bike was too old and it often needed repairing. As Christmas came nearer； her dream for a bike seemed to disappear； for she didn’t mention it again.

Our trip to the Mining Museum

On Tuesday 4th April, we took a bus to travel to the Mining (矿业) Museum because we had learning about the Gold Rushes.

When we arrived at the Mining Museum, we were taken to a room where we stored our bags. Our guide, Alison, then introduced us to a man named Bruce Binkley who is a miner.
