Eating in space is different from eating on the earth. The food that astronauts carry with them does not look like the food you eat. Some food is carried in closed bags. It is cooked and frozen before the astronauts get it. All the water is removed(分离开)from the food. In the spaceship, the astronaut puts the water back. He “ shoots ” hot or cold water into the food bag with a special gun. He eats the food that come in bite sizes. The astronauts puts a whole piece in his mouth at once. There can be no crumbs(碎屑). Crumbs would float around the spaceship and get in the way. Meat and cake often come in bite sized pieces.

Dear students,

I'm very happy to be your guest speaker today. It's a great pleasure to visit your school and meet all of you here.

I would like to tell you about myself. I am a reporter. I chose this job so I could travel the world, but the job has taught me many lessons. My work is sometimes boring. But most of the time, it is wonderful. I saw wars, earthquakes, and death. But I have also seen courage, hope, and happiness.

In India, I visited a city. There were many homeless children in it. Some were young and lived in the streets. But then a wonderful lady called Rosa offered a place to them. In one whole year, she was looking after two hundred kids, feeding them, teaching them and giving them hope.

Another time, I was in Japan and met a young girl. She was very ill. After seven operations(手术), she had to have thirteen more in hospital. However, when I met her, she was still smiling.

Here in China, after the terrible Wenchuan Earthquake, I found a three?year?old boy named Lang Zheng. Though he was weak and hurt badly, the brave boy lifted his right hand above the head to salute(向……致敬) the soldiers. This became the most moving moment.

Thanks to the experience as a reporter, I myself am getting braver and stronger. When I face problems in my life, I always remember the courage of the three people.

A.kind B.proud C.lucky D.strict

C.ask for help D.take some photos

4.The passage above is ________.

Sports can help you keep fit and get close to nature. However, whether you are on the mountains,in the waves or on the grassland, you should realize that the sport you choose might have great influence on the environment.

Some sports are resource-?hungry.Golf,as you may know, eats up not only large areas of countryside, but also lots of water.Besides, huge amounts of energy are used to keep its courses(球场)in good condition. This causes major environmental changes. For example,in the dry places of Portugal and Spain, golf is often the main reason for serious water shortages(短缺)in some local areas.

There are also many environment-?friendly sports.Walking is one of sports that you could take up today. You don't need any special equipment except a good pair of shoes, and you don't have to worry about resources and your purse.Simple and free, walking can also help you stay healthy. If you walk regularly,it will be good for your heart.Experts say that 20 minutes of speed walking daily can make you feel less anxious, sleep well and keep thin.

Whatever sport you take up,you can make it greener by using environment? friendly equipment and buying products made from recycled materials. But the final goal should be “green gyms”.They are better replacements(替代品)for traditional health clubs and modern sports centres.Members of green gyms play sports outdoors,in the countryside or other open spaces. There is no special requirement for you to start your membership(会员身份).And best of all,it's free.
