Doctors at Britain's world famous Cambridge University believe that hip hop music can help the people who are mentally ill. They call it”hip hop therapy (疗法) ”The doctors said that many of the lyrics (歌词) in hip hop songs could reach out to the people with emotional problems. A team of doctors wrote a report about this. The report is in a special medical magazine called The Lancet Psychiatry. The doctors said a lot of hip hop songs speak of getting over big difficulties in life. Of course,there are some other hip hop songs which have lyrics about being poor,being unpopular,and about crime and drugs. These are all problems that can lead to mental illnesses.

Nowadays,everybody is taking selfies (自拍照) . Frorr your best friend to your favorite pop star,selfies are becoming popular on Renren and Sina Weibo. The word " selfie" was even named word of the year by Oxford Dictiouciries in 2013.

But why do people feel the need to take them? And are llie selfies doing more harm than good to us?

According to Dr Pamela Rutledge,psychologist and director of the Media Psychology Research Center in the US,posting a selfie online shows a biological need for self-validation (自我认可) .

Humans have an area in their brains that controls social activities. Receiving positive feedback (反馈信息) cm a selfie you have posted online can be the same as someone stopping you in the street and complimenting (称赞) you on your appearance.

The act of taking a selfie also puts you in a position of power. You are the director and the subject of your own work of art. It helps people feel in control of their self-image and can be a powerful tool.

But can it go too far?

Psychologists warn that spending too much time on selfies can affect peopled confidence,particularly for teenagers. If you are spending a lot of time choosing the perfect selfie outfit (着装) or finding the right angle,then there could be a problem.
