  Norman Bethune is one ofChina’s most famous heroes,but he wasn’t Chinese—he was Canadian. He gave his life to helping the Chinese people.

   When Marie Curie was a little girl,she worked to get money to pay for her lessons. She became the most famous woman scientist of her time. 1
