　　The most valuable gift I have ever received is the book The Old and the Sea from mother.

　　I received it on my birthday. I was so surprised to get it. I was so happy, too. I just failed to pass the exam some days ago and I felt really upset those days. My mother wanted to encourage me to be strong and not to give up. I finished reading the book the next day. I learnt a lot from the book and I understood my mother’s love to me. From then on, I never give up. I keep trying my best. So I consider it the most valuable gift.
