About fifteen years ago, when I was about seven years old, I took a trip with my father. Through this great trip I 1 my self-confidence and I could see beautiful 2 _and feel various 3 such as joy, sorrow, and appreciation.

My father liked climbing mountains very much. 4 he took a trip, he would 5 take me. At that time he was a good 46 . I also wanted to become a good climber. One 7 summer day my father and I took a 8 to Mt. Sol-Ak, one of the biggest mountains in Korea 9 in the eastern part of Korea.

After a few hours¡¯ train 10 , we arrived at an entrance to the mountain. And then we started climbing. While I was climbing on the mountain, I 11 to sweat like rain. I wanted to take a 12 for only a minute, but my father said to me, ¡°You need to put up with some 13 . If you can 14 this pain now, you will be a better climber than me.¡± He continued to 15 me.

The 16 I climbed to the top of the mountain, the more labored my breathing became. While I was climbing on a tough and narrow way, I could not 17 anything except my goal¡ªthat I 18 become a better climber than my father.

After two hours, I was able to get to the top of the mountain finally. I felt so 19 of myself. I thanked my father for helping and encouraging me. On the top of the mountain I could see the huge sun 20 in the west. It looked like a prize given by God.

In the past, man did not have to think about the protection of his environment(»·¾³). There were few people on the earth, and natural resources seemed to be ¡¡¡¡1    .

Today things are ¡¡¡¡2    . The world has become too ¡¡¡¡3    . We are using up our natural resources too quickly, and at the same time we are ¡¡¡¡4     our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we ¡¡¡¡5     to do this, human life on the earth will not survive(ÐÒ´æ).

Everyone ¡¡¡¡6     today that if too many fishes are taken from the sea, there will soon be none left. Yet with modern fishing ¡¡¡¡7    , more and more fishes are caught. We know that if too many trees are cut down, ¡¡¡¡8    will disappear and nothing will grow on the land. Yet, we ¡¡¡¡9    to use bigger and more powerful machines to ¡¡¡¡10     more and more trees. We realize that if rivers are polluted with waste products from factories, we will die. ¡¡¡¡11   , in most countries, waste products are ¡¡¡¡12     put into rivers or into the sea, and there are ¡¡¡¡13     laws to stop this.

We know, too, that if the ¡¡¡¡14     of the world continues to rise at the present rate, in a few years, there will not be enough ¡¡¡¡15    . What can we do to solve(½â¾ö) these problems?

If we eat more vegetables and less    16   , there will be more food available(¿ÉµÃµ½µÄ) for everyone. Land that is used to grow crops ¡¡¡¡17     five times more people than land where animals are kept.

Our natural resources will ¡¡¡¡18     longer if we learn to recycle them.

The world population will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birth   19    .

Finally, if we educate people to think about the problems, we shall have a better and cleaner ¡¡¡¡20     in the future.
