It was in the past two years that Aaron Segura was always sinking at West Mesa High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 16?year?old student was __1__ in golf, but his __2__ was another matter. Aaron was ¡°just walking through the chapters hard¡± in courses like chemistry, his grades were low, and he was __3__ to dropping out. It was not that Aaron didn't have __4__£» it simply didn't exist in his large, impersonal public high school.
Then his mother heard about Albuquerque's Charter Vocational High School(ÌØÁ¢Ö°Òµ¸ßÖÐ), a place where students __5__ plenty of one?on?one attention. Something else __6__ Aaron even more. His one strong goal was to go into __7__£¬ and Charter Vocational had just the thing for him: an architectural CAD(computer?aided drafting) program.
Aaron __8__ the school at the beginning of his junior year. For the first time, he __9__ himself excited about learning. By the following summer, he had got a(n) __10__ as a draftsman for an architectural firm. His plan was to __11__ drafting professionally after he graduated.
If Aaron has anyone to thank for his __12__ of the fortune, it was Danny Moon, a long?time industrial arts teacher. Moon __13__ a vocational apprenticeship(ѧͽ) program in the mid?1990s, __14__ the Albuquerque school district couldn't pay for any longer.
But two years later, in 2000, Moon's phone rang. The state had recently __15__ a charter school law, and a district official wondered if Moon might be __16__ in opening a vocational charter school. An easy __17__. With this sort of instruction, Moon knew he could __18__ students like Aaron£¬who might have a __19__ time in traditional high schools. He'd also be filling an increasing __20__ across New Mexico for skilled labor.

It is often said that politeness costs nothing. In fact£¬__1__ hearing the phrase ¡°thank you¡± or ¡°well done¡± means the same to employees as a modest pay __2__£¬ researchers say.
Praise and encouragement also __3__ employees more likely to work hard and stay in their jobs, saving on the cost of finding __4__.
A third of 1,000 workers __5__ said they did not get thanked at all when they did well£¬and a(n) __6__ third said they were not thanked enough.
In both __7__£¬ the employees said they felt __8__£¬ meaning they were less likely to be __9__ to their jobs and were more likely to look for employment elsewhere.
According to the survey, praising employees has the same __10__ as a 1 percent pay rise, and works out much __11__ for bosses.
Three out of four employees said that regular __12__ by their bosses was important to them, __13__ only a quarter said they were actually given as much praise __14__ they felt they needed. Those doing manual(ÌåÁ¦µÄ)jobs were less likely to be given any __15__ for doing well.
Scottish employees felt __16__ undervalued, eight out of ten saying they would like more praise. However, workers in the northeast are less __17__ by being buttered up by the boss, as only 69 percent said they felt the __18__ to be told ¡°well done¡± regularly.
The research found that words of praise did more than __19__ a pleasant place to work¡ªthey could __20__ increase profits.

A group of graduates got together to visit their old university professor. They talked about the 11¡¡ topic¡ª happiness. But soon their conversation turned into complaints about 12 in work and life.
To offer his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and 13 with a large pot of coffee and a variety of 14 ¡ª plastic, glass, metal, porcelain(ÌÕ´É), some plain-looking, some very 15 . The professor told his students to help themselves to hot coffee.

²é¿´Ï°ÌâÏêÇéºÍ´ð°¸>>I learned about life from an ant farm. When I was seven years old, my family tried to 31 an ant farm at home. First, we put clean sand in a thin glass box, and then we brought some ants from the backyard and placed them into the 32 home.
Shortly after the new 33 were dropped into the glass structure, they got to work making tunnels. I was amazed that each one knew 34 what to do. After hours of staring, I realized that the ants had particular given jobs. With my mom¡¯s help, I kept a journal of what happened each day and ¡¡35 the ants. My favorite was the biggest, Cinderella. I drew a picture of her in my journal, which I still have.
On day five a disaster 36 the ant farm. While I was 37 the ants, I had put my face so close to the structure that I accidentally tipped it over, ¡¡38 in all the tunnels. Although the ants 39 their earthquake, one by one they began to die. I was 40 as I watched them give up their tunnel-building to carry the bodies to a corner of the farm. My mother reported that the ants were dying of ¡°frustration¡±¡ªfeeling annoyed and impatient as they couldn¡¯t control the situation. They simply could not 41 the reality that their tunnels had been destroyed. Cinderella was the last to die; she did so while carrying a dead ant on her back.
Although much time has passed, I still think of that ant farm. Mom had hoped it would teach me about the natural world, ¡¡42 it taught me much more. 43 the years, I came to realize the ants were a study in the benefits of 44 . Working together, they were able to create a(n) 45 world for themselves. I also learned that they should be 46 for their hard work. Day in and day out, each labored at their task. The ant farm demonstrated that teamwork and perseverance are indeed two key 47 to success. But there was an even larger lesson that I did not 48 until recently: Disaster is a natural part of life, and must be 49 . Unlike the ants, humans cannot give up when they face 50 . Unlike the ants, we have to realize that if a tunnel caves in, we just have to build another.
