Good afternoon, boys and girls! It's a great honor for me to stand here and share my opinions with you.
As we all know,Senior 3 is a critical moment. It's a fact that the time is so limited and precious while the pressure is so great. To smoothly go through the hardest time of our life,we must get ourselves prepared in many aspects.
First,a good body is the first thing. We'd better not stop doing sports.Always refresh ourselves with proper exercise. Then we should follow the teachers'revision plans. We should try our best to finish the given task in the given time.Last but not least,we should have an open mind and always keep optimistic about our study and life.Every time something upsets you,do speak it out!
In a word,we should get prepared not only physically but also mentally for this big challenge in our life.
At last,thank you for listening and wish all of us success in 2018!

12.It was one of the hottest days of the dry season.We had not seen rain in almost a month.The crops were dying.Cows had stopped giving milk.The streams were long gone back into the earth.If we didn't see some rain soon we would lose everything.
I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his brothers when I saw my six-year old son,Billy,walking toward the woods.He was obviously walking with a great effort…trying to be as still as possible.Minutes after he disappeared into the woods,he came running out again,toward the house.
Moments later,however,he was once again walking in that slow purposeful long step toward the woods.This activity went on for over an hour:walking cautiously to the woods,then running back to the house.Finally,my curiosity got the best of me.I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey.
He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked; being very careful not to spill the water he held in them.Branches and thorns slapped his little face but he did not try to avoid them.He had a much greater purpose.As I leaned in to spy on him,I saw the most amazing site.
Several large deer appeared threatening in front of him.But Billy walked right up to them.I almost screamed for him to get away.And I saw a baby deer lying on the ground,obviously suffering from heavy loss of water and heat exhaustion,lift its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my beautiful boy's hand.
I stood on the edge of the woods watching the most beautiful heart I have ever known working so hard to save a life.As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground,they were suddenly joined by other drops…and more drops…and more.I looked up at the sky.It was as if God,Himself,was weeping with pride.

10.Students who say they never or hardly ever use dictionaries often speak English well but usually write poorly, because they make many mistakes.
The students who use dictionaries most do not learn especially well either. The ones who look up every new word do not read fast. Therefore they do not have time to read much. Those who use small two-language dictionaries have the worst problems.Their dictionaries often giv e only one or two words as translations of English. But one English word often has many translations in a foreign language and one foreign word has many translations in English.
The most successful students are those who use large college edition dictionaries with about 100,000 words but do not use them too often. When they are reading, these students first try to get the general idea and understand new words from the context(上下文语境).Then they reread and use the dictionary to look up only key words that they still do not understand. They use dictionaries more for writing. If they are not sure how to spell a word,or divide it into syllables (音节),they always use a dictionary. Also,if they think a noun might have an unusual plural form(复数形式),they check these in a dictionary.
