My gratitude to a classmate

The classmate I should show my gratitude to is Li Hua. When I was in Grade Eight, one morning, our headteacher came in with a shy boy hidden behind him. The boy was neither tall nor smart, but he had big eyes and was so lovely that we all wanted to get close to him.

Very soon we found him talented in maths, English and physics. I felt ashamed of my studies. As I was wondering whether t o turn to him for advice, to my surprise, he told me that he would help me. In the following years, he really did so. Thanks to his help, I succeeded in dealing with problems and became more and more confident.

Though we’re in different cities now, I do hope he can live happily.
