解答 Dear Li Xiaojun,
I'm glad to receive your letter.I'd like to discuss the problem to you.It is true that some video games is good for your thinking ability and they can sometimes make you felt relaxed.Therefore,you are spending too much time on that.You are not∧little boy any more.You should learn to control yourself.Why not to try to finish your homework first every day and then spend a little time play some video games.I think,like a student,the most important thing is to study hard at school.You should try your best to get good grade in your subjects and try to become a useful person for the future.
                                                                                                                   Yours,
                                                                                                                      Editor.
详解:
1.to改为with 考查介词.discuss with意为"与…
7.play改为playing 考查动名词.spend time in doing sth.
10.for改为in 考查固定搭配.in the future意为"今后,将来",是固定搭配.

9.Facts About Goal Setting
These practical tips o n goal setting can help make it easier to set and reach goals:
Specific,realistic goals work best.(36)C"I'm going to recycle all my plastic bottles,soda cans,and magazines"is a much more doable goal than"I'm going to do more for the environment."And that makes it easier to stick with.(37)F
It will probably take a couple of months before any changes-like getting up halfan hour early to exercise-become a routine part of your life.That's because your brain needstime to get used to the idea that this new thing you're doing is part of your regular routine.
(38)ASay your goal out loud each morning to remind yourself of what you want and what you're working for.Writing it down works too.Every time you remind yourself of your goal,you'retraining your brain to make it happen.(39)B
The key to making any change is to find the desire within yourself-you have todo it because you want it,not because a girlfriend,boyfriend,coach,parent,or someone else wants you to.It will be harder to stay on track and motivated if you're doing something out of obligation to another person.
Roadblocks don't mean failure.Slip-ups are actually part of the learning process as you retrainyour brain into a new way of thinking.It may take a few tries to reach a goal.
But that's OK-it's normal to mess up or give up a few times when trying to make a change.So remember that everyone slips up and don't beat yourself up about it.(40)D

A.Repeating a goal makes it stick.
B.Pleasing other people doesn't work.
C.You should make a change in your life.
D.Just remind yourself to get back on track.
E.Set a goal and come up wi th steps to reach it.
F.It takes time for a change to become an established habit.
G.When it comes to making a change, the people who succeed are those
who set proper goals.

Eight students from No 2Secondary School Attached to East China Normal University started a virtual company selling different seeds and seed products.They successfully sold 28pictures pasted with different seeds at a campus auction a week ago.The company,which has recruited around 20student staff members,has earned over 2000yuan in the past three months.
"We donated part of the money to a poor school in the countryside of Anhui Province.It's great to realize our ideal of‘spreading love and culture with seeds'after many tests and lots of hard work,"said Senior 2Shi Chen,CEO of the company.
Just like any other company,Shi's didn't develop smoothly.Shi and her young colleagues used to sell fresh flowers and old books,and later found seeds might be something that their company could engage in.They bought seeds of various plants and flowers at low prices from a local farm and sold them in schools or on streets.The creative students also made accessories and pictures with different seeds.
With little business knowledge,the students had to learn new skills as the leaders of different departments,such as public relations (PR),sales and marketing.They persuaded a joint Sino-French company near their school to give them training in business management.They also asked some local businessmen to act as their consultants.
"They helped us overcome our shyness.We also learned quite a lot of business theory.I found communication skills and teamwork are very important for my job,"said Senior 1Qian Yifei.
The 16-year-old was elected as PR manager thanks to her talent for speaking.She is also in charge of after sales service,dealing with complaints and providing suggestions.
As the head of the company,CEO Shi has a lot more to think about.First of all,she has to learn how to make her colleagues work efficiently as the company only opens at weekends due to all their studies.So she established a system to evaluate every one's performance,in terms of punctuality,efficiency,profits knowledge and so on.
"It makes the company more formal,"she said.

32.What is the purpose of opening the company?D

14.The behavior of a building's users may be at least as important as its design when it comes to energy use,according to new research from the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC).The UK promises to reduce its carbon emissions (排放)by 80percent by 2050,part of which will be achieved by all new homes being zero carbon by 2016.But this report shows that sustainable building design on its own-though extremely important-is not enough to achieve such reductions:the behavior of the people using the building has to change too.
The study suggests that the ways that people use and live in their homes have been largely ignored by existing efforts to improve energy efficiency, which instead focus on architectural and technological developments.
"Technology is going to assist but it is not going to do everything,"explains Katy Janda,a UKERC senior researcher,"consumption patterns of building users can defeat the most careful design."In other words,old habits die hard,even in the best designed eco home.
Another part of the problem is information.Households and bill payers don't have the knowledge they need to change their energy use habits.Without specific information,it's hard to estimate the costs and benefits of making different choices.Feedback(反馈) facilities,like smart meters and energy monitors,could help bridge this information gap by helping people see how changing their behavior directly affects their energy use; some studies have shown that households can achieve up to 15percent energy savings using smart meters.
Social science research has added a further dimension,suggesting that individuals'behavior in the home can be personal and cannot be predicted-whether people throw open their windows rather than turn down the thermostat (恒温器),for example.
Janda argues that education is the key.She calls for a focused program to teach people about buildings and their own behavior in them.

32.As to energy use,the new research from UKERC stresses the importance ofD.

D.the behavior of building users
33.The underlined word"which"in Paragraph 2refers to"B".
A.their homes
B.existing efforts
C.developments
D.the ways
34.What are Katy Janda's words mainly about?A
A.The importance of changing building users'habits.
B.The necessity of making a careful building design.
C.The variety of consumption patterns of building users.
D.The role of technology in improving energy efficiency.
35.The information gap in energy useC.
A.affects the study on energy monitors
B.brings about problems for smart meters
C.can be bridged by feedback facilities
D.will be caused by building users'old habits.
4.I was desperately nervous about becoming car-free.But eight months ag our car was hit by a passing vehicle and it was destroyed.No problem,I thought:we'll buy another.But the insurance payout didn't even begin to cover the costs of buying a new car-I worked out that,with the loan (贷款) we'd need plus petrol,insurance parking permits and tax,we would make a payment as much as£600a month.
And that's when I had my fancy idea.Why not just give up having a car at all?I live in London.We have a railway station behind our house,a tube station 10minutes'walk away,and a bus stop at the end of the street.A new car club had just opened in our area,and one of its shiny little red Peugeots was parked nearby.If any family in Britain could live without a car,I reasoned,then surely we were that family.
But my new car-free idea,sadly,wasn't shared by my family.My teenage daughters were horrified.What would their friends think about our family being"too poor to afford a car"?(I wasn't that bothered what they thought,and I suggested the girls should take the same approach.)
My friends,too,were astonished at our plan.What would happen if someone got seriously ill overnight and needed to go to hospital?(an ambulance) How would the children get to and from their many events?(buses and trains) People smiled as though this was another of my mad ideas,before saying they were sure I'd soon realize that a car was a necessity.
Eight months on,I wonder whether we'll ever own a car again.The ideathat you"have to"own a car,especially if you live in a city,is all in the mind.I live-and many other citizens do too-in a place that has never been better served by public transport,and yet car ownership has never been higher.We worry about rising car costs,but e'd be better off asking something much more basic:do I really need a car?Certainly the answer is no,and I'm a lot richer because I dared to ask the question.

A.Argue against it.
B.Take their advice.
C.Think it over.
D.Leave it alone.
31.What conclusion did the author draw after the eight-month car-free life?C
A.Life cannot go without a car.
B.Life without a car is a little bit hard.
C.His life gets improved without a car.
D.A car-free life does not suit everyone.
