A city, whether big and small, should be clean. Only when we live in a clean city we live a happy life. As we know, a clean city, that disease may be reduced and people’s health may be better, are good both for our mind and body. No one believes people lived in a dirty city with waste everywhere can live happy. However, with more and more people moved into our city, it is not easy to keep our city clean. Beside, some factories will pour waste into the air, the river and onto the ground, making it is hard to keep our city clean. To make our city the better place to live in, we still have a lot to do.

考查副词。而且(besides)许多工厂把废物倒入空气里，河流里….beside在……的旁边、附近。

9.去掉 is

考查宾补。making it is hard to keep our city clean make的宾语是 it， hard是补语， to keep our city clean是真正的宾语。所以要把is去掉。

10. the —a

考查冠词。为了让我们的城市成为一个更适合居住的地方……。表数量，故要用a。
