Last weekend we went mountain-climbing. Even the heavy rain in the morning could not prevent us go. Setting off very early, we went along an extreme narrow road, all in high spirits. A young couple bought a big house from two sisters, whom had lived there for 30 years. The house was nice and the couple bought it at low price.

However, winter wasn’t far away at the time. The couple was a little bit worrying about how they would keep the house warm, since it didn’t have any fireplaces. And later, they thought that if the sisters were able to stay warm and comfortably in the house during the winter, so could they. With that in mind, they decided not to make any preparations for the cold weather.

A study looked at anxious students in maths exams and concluded that writing about how worried you feel before the exam may also reduce anxiety.

Be as prepared as possible before the exam, arrive early, and repeat positive statements such as: “Everyone feels anxious; I know I can do this.” Just as in a race, do not look at what everyone else around you is doing. Focus on the paper in front of you. Do a quick skim to evaluate the feel of the overall test. If you feel nervous, take deep breaths and remember that it is just a test.
