It was on Sunday so I didn’t have to go to school as usually. My parents went to the countryside to see my grandparents, left me alone. After finishing my homework, I began to play football at home. I can’t swim so I have a strong fear of water. Look back at my childhood, I think that three reasons might explain fear. Firstly, I am not allowed to go near the water when I was a child, as my mother had an unreasonable fear of it. Therefore, I was taught to see to the water as something danger. It was almost five years since I began to learn English. I’m glad to say I’m getting along well with it. However, first I came across a lot of difficulties. I couldn’t pronounce English sounds good, nor could I remember the words I had learned. In class, I couldn’t understand that the teacher had said.
