5.The old Chinese saying"as happy as spending the New Year"might be outdated now in the busy modern world. The Spring Festival is regarded as the most important festival for Chinese people and an occasion for all family members to get together, like Christmas in'the West. But many traditional customs accompanying the Spring Festival, however, have weakened in practice.
"Setting off fireworks was once the most typical custom of the Spring Festival.People thought the sputtering(爆裂) sound could help drive away evil spirits.However,the activity has been completely or partially forbidden in big cities for years as the government has taken security,noise and pollution factors into consideration."
"In recent years,some cities have begun to allow people to light fireworks during limited hours at the Spring Festival,surrendering to (屈从于) public demand.Respecting folk traditions is a gesture of respect toward public opinion."said Zhou Xing,a folklore researcher.
"As people gain more income and it becomes easier to buy daily goods.the New Year holiday is just like any other. After long workdays, many people use the New Year holiday to take a rest, rather than visiting friends and neighbors. The process of making and enjoying the family dinner on Spring Festival Eve is the most important thing.However,many families would like to eat out to save time and energy."said Li Shunzhi,a resident of Harbin,Heilongjiang.
"I enjoy the holidays very much in the countryside. My family has been preparing for the Spring Festival more than two weeks before the holiday, cleaning the house, buying holiday goods and decorating the house with paper cuttings. On New Year's Eve,the whole family stays up to see the New Year in,and in the days to follow,a series of activities such as lion dancing,dragon lantern dancing,lantern festivals and temple fairs will be held.Without the ancient traditions,the holiday is nothing to us."said Zhang Hui,from Hebei.

16.Unless you are like Nasty Gal's founder Sophia Amoruso,the passwords you use to access your email and the endless other accounts you need for work aren't filled with intention.With increasing security requirements,it's likely your word/number combinations are becoming even less memorable.But new research suggests it may not be long before you won't need to memorize passwords.
"Brainprint",published in Neurocomputing,reveals that the brain's reaction to certain words could be a unique identifying code-like a fingerprint-that could eventually replace passwords.
In a small experiment,the researchers measured the brains'signals of 45volunteers as they read through a list of 75acronyms such as FBI and DVD.The word-recognition response differed so much between each participant that a second experiment using a computer program could identify each one with 94% accuracy.
It's not enough to feel totally secure, but promising enough to hint at the future of securing sensitive information.
The advantage of using such a biometric system (生物识别系统) is that it can be used for continuous verification (验证),New Scientist points out.Passwords or fingerprints only provide a tool for one-off identification.Continuous verification could in theory allow someone to interact with many computer systems at the same time or even with a variety of intelligent objects,without having to repeatedly enter passwords for each device.
As Hollywood has illustrated,it's simply a matter of cutting off a finger to steal that person's identity."Brainprints,on the other hand,are potentially cancellable,"said Sarah Laszlo,assistant professor of psychology and linguistics at Binghamton University and co-author of the study,"So,in the unlikely event that attackers were actually able to steal a brainprint from an authorized user,the authorized user could then‘reset'their brainprint."
Until now,brain signals have been a challenge to understand.This experiment leaped over the obstacle by focusing on the brainwaves from the specific area that reads and recognizes words.The signal is therefore clearer and easier to measure.
The problem,so far,is that the brain signal is still not as accurate as scanning someone's fingerprint,and initially requires sticking diodes (二极管) on your head in order to get a read.That's ok,according to Zhanpeng Jin,assistant professor at Binghamton University and coauthor of the study,because brainprint isn't going to be mass-produced any time soon.He says the researchers foresee its use at places such as the Pentagon,where the number of authorized users is small,and they don't need to be continuously verified the way you do to access your mobile device or email.
Better keep your memory sharp,at least a little while longer.

63.In paragraph 5,"one-off identification"refers to the identification thatD.
A.happens as part of a regular series
B.interacts with intelligent objects
C.can be verified continuously
D.needs repeated verification
64.According to Sarah Laszlo,B.
A.fingerprints can be canceled once stolen
B.brainprints are theft-proof and resettable
C.attackers can steal and replace brainprints
D.users have the authority to cancel brainprints
65.It can be inferred from the passage thatC.
A.brainprints will sharpen users'memory
B.brainprints will become easier to be measured
C.brainprints will receive narrow application
D.brainprints will eventually replace fingerprints
66.Which of the following is the best title of the passage?A
A.Brainprints:A New Way to Replace Passwords
B.Brainprints:A Unique Device to Identify Codes
C.Brainprints:A Quicker Way to Access Your Email
D.Brainprints:A Securer Device to Identify Brain Signals.

Nowadays,more and more post-90s generation will enter the workforce.They place.ore emphasis (61)on looking for a job that they enjoy more than other factors.Many of them hope to establish a(62)relaxing(relax) relationship among workers.More than half of (63)them prefer the easy-going and good-tempered employers.(64)Surprisingly(surprise)10 percent of the,wish to be friends with their bosses.Experts say that they are the generation of the Internet era.They have a strong (65)awareness(aware) of"self"and how they relate to the outside world.Guo Yun,22,is a digital media major from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.She says that she will not mind working long hours,but prefer her boss (66)to explain(explain) why she has to,such as the urgency of the task."I feel greatly (67)motivated (motivate) in this way,"she explains.They tend to care a great deal about the team or the management culture.They are also more outspoken about their needs,and they are likely to openly (68)communicate(communication) with their employers.As a result,they (69)are admitted(admits) into most big companies more easily.I think it is their frankness and enthusiasm (70)thatleaves a deep impression on their employers.
6.Child raising is probably one of the most difficult jobs for people to do all over the world.Since babies do not come with child raising manuals(指南),couples,especially future mothers,have to learn from their mothers,aunts,mothers-in-law,or any other relative who is close to them.
As children grow up,parents have to find reasonable ways in order to help their children,advise them,punish them,lead them to achievements,and teach them.Sometimes children under ten may behave inappropriately.For example,they learn to say offensive words and they show no respect for their relatives.I think parents in these cases should punish their children in a reasonable way.Children must know those kinds of attitudes are not good at all.
There are many aspects which influence parents in this hard job, for example, the culture in which they live, the economic situation in their society, and the religious environment.
One group consists of people who don't have economical resources or education.In this group,people get married when they are teenagers.Their Children are taken to their grandparents'homes,so the job of child raising is done by grandparents instead of the real parents.If the grandparents are on the sidewalks selling newspapers,cigarettes,or magazines,the children will be like them,too.Some of them even end up being wallet thieves,gang members and drug users.
Other groups of people are hard workers or well-educated.The children grow up in their parents'homes and are disciplined and punished differently.They learn to respect other people,and they are led to achieve in school,sports and community service.When they grow up,they often become political leaders,community leaders,and professionals in their fields.
