Dear Peter,

From your letter I have known that you and your family plan to visit the Shanghai Disneyland at weekends. I am willing to tell you something about it.

The Disneyland is open to the public from 9：00 to 21：00, when you can enjoy a magical world. As for the ticket, the price for people over 1.4m is 370 yuan per person, while a child between 1.0m and 1.4m only needs to pay 280 yuan. Besides, I have some suggestions for you. Considering the food in the park is extremely expensive, you’d better take some snacks and water. Additionally, you are supposed to wear sports shoes, which can make your visit more enjoyable.

My classmates and I take part in a wildness survival program from July 10th to July 13th this summer. Before we started, we given a compass, a map, a firstaid kit, tents, food, any clothes and so on. On the way we climbed three more hills and swam across two rivers. We lost our way in the forest. Lucky we found the right direction with a compass. As soon as they arrived at the campsite, we put up our tents, made a fire and then started cooking. We also learned what to give firstaid.

Through the program, we learned to use knowledge gaining in class to solve problem. It was quite an unforgettable experience for me.

Harkin had known my travel plans and had planned everything. How could he have booked the room only for three days? There was nothing to be done but to find another hotel. The waiters were happy to find me a new hotel, and when I said that I was happy to stay at the airport, thinking it might be cheaper than staying in the city, they suggested the Holiday Inn at the airport. There was one small matter: the room rate was $300 per night. The best hotel in Katoomba had wanted only $145. I asked if there was anything cheaper they might suggest but they warned that most hotels would already be full by this time.

The hotel was far from the train station, so I had to take a taxi, at $25. On the way to the Holiday Inn, we passed a hotel just two blocks from the Holiday Inn that advertised a room rate of $104. At the desk I asked if their room rate could go down a lot. ＂No, this is a 4-star hotel,＂ the waiter told me. ＂In that case,＂ I replied,

＂I’ll just walk the two blocks to the cheap hotel.＂ But she warned me that they were probably full and that if I didn’t take the room, it might not be available when I came back. Finally, I decided to take the room.

The room itself was big, but the air conditioning couldn’t keep up with the Australian heat. I couldn’t get to sleep until about 1:00 am.

Ensuring that disabled people have an easy life is very important, not just because they are human, like all of us, but because their dignity and social well-being should not be ignored just because of a disability. Disabilities can occur through illness, aging, accidents and other different causes that may happen to anyone or affect us all at some stage in life. 1

We are all human beings and so have the same basic needs. But we should remember that there is a wide range of what we call a disability, and while the basic needs are all the same for everyone, the different lifestyle needs are entirely individual. 2 It is best to find out people’s needs from spending time with them.

3 Even the most attractive homes can feel like a cage, so it makes a huge difference to be able to go out to a park or a shopping center, or to plan a day trip such as a picnic or a trip to the beach. Even if a trip can only be organized one day a month, it is more than nothing and does really make a difference.

If they are interested or able, pets can be great companions. 4 Some may be able to take care of a cat or dog; some prefer goldfish or birds in a cage. Very often, people who are cared for don’t feel that they have the chance to care for someone or something else, so caring for pets can improve their confidence and/span> mental health, which can take their mind off their own troubles.

Do not let pets be their only companions. Book a regular appointment with a social worker to visit them at least once a month. This is to check on their mental and physical health as well as ways of improving their living conditions. 5
