假定英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文,请你修改你同桌写的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误,每句中最多有两处。错误涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。

增加:在缺词处加一个漏词符号(),并在其下面写出该加的词。

删除:把多余的词用斜线(/)划掉。

修改:在错的词下划一横线,并在该词下面写出修改后的词。

注意:

1. 每处错误及其修改均仅限一词;

2. 只允许修改10处,多者(从第11处起)不计分。

As students, all of us will be faced with a problem after passed the college entrance examination. Should we choose a good major and a good university first? Here are some different ideas. Some more prefer to choose a major first so that they can learn they are interested in. On this way they can put their hearts into study and got their favorite jobs in the future. Other believe that the environment is important to ones develop and that graduates from key universities are more likely to find good jobs. As far as Im concerning, maybe the choice should be a good university if we cant obtain all.

第一处:passed passing after为介词,后面接动名作宾语,故把passed改成passing。

第二处:and or and用于肯定句,而or用于疑问句和否定句,故把and改成or。

第三处:more去掉 此处举例说一些人,并没有比较意义,故把more去掉。

第四处:learn加what learn后缺宾语,in后也缺宾语,应该用连接代词what,what引导宾语从句且在从句中作宾语故在learn后面加what。

第五处:On In in this way表示"以这种方式",故把On改成In。

第六处:got get 形式can后的"put"保持一致,应该用一般现在时,故把got改成get。

第七处:Other Others 形容词性物主代词起形容词作用,修饰名词;而名词性物主代词起名词作用,可单独作主语。故把Other改成Others。

第八处:develop development 名词作宾语,develop的名词形式是development,故把develop改成development。

第九处:concerning concerned as far as Im concerned为固定搭配,表示"就我而言,对我来说",故把concerning改成concerned。

第十处:all span>→ both all指代三个或三个以上的人或物both指代两个人或物,此处指两者都……,故把all改成both。

·Towner Writer Squad (班)for kids aged 13-17

Led by comedy and TV writer, Marian Kilpatrick, Towner Writer Squad will meet once a month at the contemporary art museum for 11 months, starting 12 October, 2014.

The FREE squad sessions will include introductions to a wide range of writing styles, from poetry to play writing and lyrics (抒情诗)to flash fiction, to support the development of young writers.

If you would like to apply to be part of the Towner Writer Squad, please send a sample piece of your writing (about 500 words), responding to the titleLUNCH,with your name, age, address and e-mail address to: debo@newwritingsouth.com.

Once all applications are in, com you will be invited to an open selection event on 17 September,4-5pm, at the gallery of Towner. This will be an informal opportunity to meet the Squad Leader, Squad Associate and other young people.

You will also have a chance to get to know the fantastic gallery space and get a taste of what’s to come.

Due to popular demand, a writing project will be started for eager beginners.

Start time: 6 September, 2014

Meet every other Saturday,2-4pm, at the Towner Study Centre.

Study and write at your own pace 一 you do not have to rush 一 as you have a year to go through the project. Practise under the guidance of some experienced writers and teachers who can help you with basic writing skills. Most importantly, build confidence and have fun while writing!

No previous experience or special background is required. Many others have been successful this way. If they can do it, why can’t you?
