A woman repeated a bit of gossip£¨Á÷ÑÔ£© about a neighbor. Within a few days, the whole village knew the story. The person she talked about was deeply hurt and angry.
Later, the woman spreading the rumor£¨Ò¥ÑÔ£© learned that it was completely untrue. She was very sorry and went to a wise man to find out what she could do to repair the harm.
"Go to the marketplace," he said, "buy a chicken, and have it killed. Then on your way home, pick its feathers and drop them one by one along the road." Although surprised by this advice, the woman did what she was told.
The next day the wise man said, "Now, go and collect all those feathers you dropped yesterday and bring them back to me."
The woman followed the same road, but she was so discouraged when she found the wind had blown the feathers all away. After searching for hours, she returned with only three in her hand.
"You see," said the wise man, "it's easy to drop them, but it is impossible to get them all back. So it is the same with gossip. It doesn't take much to spread a rumor, but once you do, you can never completely undo£¨ ÃÖ²¹£© the wrong."

One morning, Wu Liang discovered (·¢ÏÖ) that her classroom changed. She found that the desks were no longer in rows, but pushed together to make eight bigger desks. She was too excited about it for the first two days and she couldn¡¯t listen to the teachers carefully. But soon she and her classmates got used to this new classroom arrangement (°²ÅÅ). ¡°Now our class is quieter,¡± said Wu. ¡°What¡¯s more, we can come up with our own ideas and learn more through discussion. Dear Kitty,
I am sorry that I did not write to you earlier because I have been very busy. I was helping    with a charity show to raise money    31   Project Green Hope. A lot of work needed to be finished, so I did not have much free time.
I felt very happy when I    32   to be the host. It was exciting,    33  I was also very nervous. I know that lots of people would come    34   the show and many pop stars would come, too. My job was to    35   each star and I also had many other duties.
We practiced a lot before the show. I had to remember to look at the right camera at the right time. At first, I thought I would never be    36   to remember all the words.
The big day came very quickly, and I was so excited. Twenty minutes before the big event, we    37   the doors and many people came into the theatre to watch the show. The fans of the pop stars were making a lot of noise, so I had to speak    38  .
A lot of    39   has been given to Project Green Hope. I hope more events like this will be organized to raise money for charity and I think more people should be    40   to take part in them.
See you soon .
Best wishes!
Ricky

Tea bag drinking is most Westerners' favorite way of drinking tea. Do you know how it came about?
The tea bag was invented in 1908 by Thomas Sullivan, an American tea seller. He was sending out free tea in silk bags for people to try. People put the bags together with the tea leaves into the cup and added(Ôö¼Ó) hot water. The tea tasted good, and people thought it was easy to clean the cup. They were not happy when Sullivan started sending them loose (É¢µÄ) tea again.
Sullivan realized that he had a hot new thing in his hands, and he built a machine to pack the bags. As tea bags became popular, they were changed from silk to gauze (±¡É´) and later paper. In 1952, Lipton Tea made the tea bag even more popular with its invention of the four-sided tea bag. Tea bags were soon a hit in the UK, and today 85%of the tea in the UK is packed in paper bags.
However, many people still prefer loose-leaf tea.  This is because some tea companies put not very good tea in their tea bags. But for most drinkers, tea bags are still the easy and tasly way to go.
