【答案】Last Monday, while checking the calendar, I realized my grandmother’s birthday was approaching. I determined to send a special gift to my grandma this year.

Ideas had been flashing through my mind and hardly could I make a perfect decision. I was racking my brains for a good idea when the chemistry class enlightened me. In the chemistry class our teacher taught us the technique of tie-dye on a white cloth. It was like a magic that attracted all of us. In the meantime, it occurred to me that I cold make a special gift for my grandmother with the technique of tie-dye.

Rushing home after school, I bought a cloth made of cotton and the materials needed for the handicraft on line. During the days of waiting for the express delivery, I initiated a few designs of a scarf for grandma. Following the procedures taught by our teacher, I managed to complete the self-production. The next day, when I unfolded it, it turned out to be marvelous. I even couldn’t wait to give it to my grandma.

The day finally came! AT grandma’s birthday dinner, I presented her the special gift. Wearing the scarf, she was so touched that she hugged me tightly with tears welling in her eyes. When I saw a bright smile then lighting up her face, I felt it all worthwhile. And my parents gave me thumbs-up for my efforts.

From this experience, I realize this special gift not only brings me the pleasure of making handicrafts on my own, but also bears my respect and appreciation to my dear grandma.
