Last week, a knowledge competition on the belt and road initiatives was held in our school, from which we learned more about it.

Last Monday, an expert gave us a lecture on the belt and road initiatives, telling us the function of it. After returning to the classroom, our head teacher encouraged us to prepare for the coming knowledge competition on it. We began to work in groups immediately after school, searching for information from books and internet.

Last Friday, after answering a series of questions competitively, we won the first prize. When standing in the front of the school hall, holding the certificate of the award in hand and receiving the encouraging congratulation from our schoolmates, we felt proud of ourselves.

The Belt and Road Initiatives

To make the belt and road initiatives better known, last week, our school organized a series of activities related to the theme, after which our classmates and I have come to learn the meaning of it. Until now, the memories of the activities are still vivid in my mind.

During the class meeting last Monday, an expert gave us a lecture on the belt and road initiatives in the school hall, from which we came to understand that it aims to strengthen effective cooperation with our neighboring countries and promotes Chinese culture in an effective way and we felt the urge to explore more of it. After coming back to the classroom, our head-teacher assigned the homework – preparing for the coming knowledge competition on it. It was just what we wanted and immediately we began to work in groups to collect relative information in the library after school. Some of our group read through books, some surfed the internet, and others put the information collected together.

Then the big moment finally came last Friday. Gathered in the school hall, we had the knowledge competition. Cooperating perfectly in a group of three, we really had something to show and beat others since we had put our effort on it. We were so excited when the headmaster presented us the first prize and felt so good with all our schoolmates cheering for us.

During the activities, not only did we learned about the radiant effects the belt and road initiatives development strategy and framework bring China, but also we were proud of Chinese influence on the world!
