Jim, who received 500 dollars a month, got the information on the phone instead of going to the airport himself. Frank, the 1,000 dollars a month brother came back with a list of more cargoes. Three brothers, who worked for the same company, received different wages due to their different attitudes to their work, which shows right attitude is of great help to one’s work.
Their different attitudes to their work result in their different wages. From the story I can conclude that those who take positive attitudes towards work will be rewarded.
Different attitudes lead to different results. Take Xiao Hua, my classmate, as an example. Not only does he put his heart into study but he is also helpful both to teachers and students. So he has become a top student in our class, even in the grade. With his diligence and concentration, he is bound to succeed in entering his ideal university. However, Xiao Hua never cares about his study because he is addicted to playing games and he turns a deaf ear to the teachers’ advice. As a result, he falls far behind others in his study.
In my opinion, attitude is everything. No matter what you do, you must do it well even if you may fail many times. Sooner or later you will be rewarded for your positive attitude towards your work or life.

The First Lesson of the New Term, a TV program about how to protect oneself in times of emergency, is meant to provide school students with the knowledge on self-protection. It will help students in case of natural disasters such as earthquakes, fires, snowstorms or floods. Many examples show that enough knowledge about self-protection along with enough courage and willpower can help many survive.
The most recent example is from the earthquake in Sichuan Province in May of 2008. While thousands of school kids were killed by collapsed school buildings, all students from a middle school survived even without a single one being hurt. That’s because of their timely and orderly evacuations (撤离), which they had been drilled in every term.
It’s good to see this program is the most important activity of a national campaign to make students be aware of personal safety. Chinese Education Ministry has called on all schools nationwide to give lessons on self-protection knowledge in times of emergency every term.

“Can I see my baby?” asked the happy new mother. The bundle(婴儿包)was placed in her arms and when she moved the fold of cloth to look upon his tiny face, she gasped-the baby has been born without ears. Time, however, proved that the baby’s hearing was perfect except his appearance.

He grew up, handsome and popular with his fellow students. He developed a gift for literature and music. But for his misfortune, he might have been class president.

So the search began for a person who would make such a sacrifice a young man. Two years went by. Then, “You’re going to the hospital, son. Mother and I have someone who will donate the ears you need. But it’s a secret,” said the father.
