题目内容
阅读下列短文, 从所给的四个选项中, 选出最佳答案。
Smokers who want to quit (戒除) have much better luck doing it on their own than trying to kick the habit through an organized program, according to a report in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Michael C. Fiore and fellow workers at the University of Wisconsin found that those who quit on their own are nearly twice as successful as those who use organized programs. Although Dr Fiore agrees that some heavy smokers may benefit from organized programs, this study showed that only 23.6 percent of those in programs were successful, as against 47.5 percent of the separate quitters.
It was also found that success isn't tied to how many cigarettes (香烟) someone smokes a day, or to race or gender (性别). What does it work? Completely giving up smoking suddenly succeeded more often than gradually.
