　　I’m for the idea of learning a foreign language from an early age because mastering a foreign language is one of the demands of modern society．When one is young, one has a strong curiosity and good memory．Therefore, learning a foreign language at an early age can cultivate the interest and lay a foundation for further study．When one starts to learn a foreign language at a young age, one can remember many words and expressions which will greatly benefit his language study in school and college．If a person starts to learn a foreign language from young, he can fully master it when he finishes college．

　　I don’t think the idea of learning language at an early age is a good one as there are several reasons．First, children are just beginning to learn their mother tongue and if they are learning two languages at the same time, they may find it hard to learn their mother tongue well．Secondly, if children learn two languages together, they will have a heavy burden which may affect the growth of their bodies．Thirdly, if children begin to learn a foreign language very young and don’t get the right pronunciation, it may affect their learning the authentic foreign language in junior schools．And the last but not least, it is impossible to make everyone master a foreign language and so, if one doesn’t want to study abroad, it is unnecessary to master a foreign language．
