This was one of my experiences    1   .When I was in my 30s,I was working for a large international company which had its head office in London. I was working in the   2   department.

The company had a training center which was just outside London. Different courses were held there throughout    3    and I    4    go on one training course a year. These usually started    5    a Sunday evening and lasted six days.

Once I was    6    a week¡¯s training course with about forty    7    sales people. I was in the bar on the Friday evening and suddenly a woman who was    8    behind the bar asked me a curious question.¡°I hope you don¡¯t    9   my asking,¡± she said, ¡°but I¡¯ve been     10    about it all week. Have you got a sister ¡¡¡¡11     Mary?¡± The woman¡¯s name was June. And she used to do various jobs at the training center¡¯s worked in the office, she organized all the food and drink for the center and she worked in the bar at lunch time and in the evening.

My answer    12    June¡¯s question was ¡°Yes¡±,and June said,¡°I thought    13   .I met her last September when she was organizing a course here.¡± At that time, my sister was working for   14    company but in a different part of the country. That was    15    she came to be at the training center.
16    surprised me was how June guessed we were brother and sister. Three things made it even more ¡¡¡¡17    .First, she had met my sister six months before she met me. Second, they have about sixty new people every week at the training center¡¯s about one thousand five hundred people had    18    the center in those six months. And    19   ,my sister is married, so she doesn¡¯t have the same family name as me.

We¡¯re not    20    ,but I guess we must look quite like each other.

I had a friend who visited me from out of town and I wanted to show him the CN Tower. It was one of the tallest structures on the earth. So I thought it would offer a(n)¡¡ 36¡¡ sight.

We were standing in line for 45minutes to enjoy the ¡¡ 37¡¡ up to the watch point. When we got there, we went around the ¡¡38¡¡ of the tower and saw the hard wire fence 39¡¡¡¡ to the structure serving as a barrier. We went back inside to look for the glass floor that provided a direct view ¡¡40¡¡ . As soon as both of us 41¡¡ , we stopped before walking onto it. We found that our legs began to¡¡ 42¡¡ . I stopped for a minute considering the step, taking several seconds to ¡¡43¡¡ the edge before moving.

And then I had a thought in my mind£º¡°It is far ¡¡44¡¡ compared to any other floor in this building. There is no real danger to me ¡ª it¡¯s ¡¡ 45¡¡ an illusion. Look at all the people standing on it, and think about those who have stood on it before.¡±I began to 46¡¡ that step onto the glass floor. I didn¡¯t look down ¡ª 47¡¡ not for a few minutes.

I walked on the ¡¡ 48¡¡ and looked around and thought about how¡¡ 49¡¡ the experience was. I even found myself jumping up and down. There was no 50¡¡ , and it was certainly an illusion.

I considered how many things in our lives we 51¡¡ and exactly how many of them are actually illusions. I thought about all the things we ¡¡52¡¡ ourselves from doing because we have¡¡ 53¡¡ ourselves into thinking there¡¯s risk. I thought about all the things that I still have yet to do that appeared 54¡¡ . I was glad to discover that although fear isn¡¯t a stranger to me, my desire to live a life without ¡¡ 55¡¡ has a much stronger pull.

The train had started moving. It was ¡¡36 with people of all ages, mostly with the middle-aged workers and young students. Near the ¡¡37 sat an old man with his thirty-year-old son. As the train moved by, the son was overjoyed with the ¡¡38 outside. ¡°See, dad, the scenery of green trees moving ¡¡39 is very beautiful.¡±

This behavior from a ¡¡40 son made the other people feel strange about him. Everyone was ¡¡41 about the son. ¡°This person seems to be ¡¡42 ,¡± a newly-married man whispered to his wife.

Suddenly it started ¡¡43 . Lots of drops fell on the travelers through the open window. The son excitedly said to his father, ¡°See, dad, how ¡¡44 the rain is, too.¡± The man¡¯s wife was annoyed by the rain drops spoiling (Ū»µ) her ¡¡45 suit. The young man said to the father, ¡°Can¡¯t you see it raining yourself? Your son ¡¡46 be mentally ill. Get him to a hospital!¡±

The old man ¡¡47 at first, feeling rather hurt and then replied, ¡°We are on the way back from the ¡¡48 . My son was ¡¡49 from birth. He just recovered from an eye operation yesterday. The rain and nature are all new to his eyes. Please ¡¡50 us for the inconvenience that we may have caused.¡±

The things we see may be right from the outside ¡¡51 we know the truth, ¡¡52 the lesson learnt may be too late. Imam Ali once said: A fool¡¯s mind is at the mercy of his tongue and a wise man¡¯s tongue is under the control of his ¡¡53 . So try to understand the problem better before taking a(n) 54 action. As the saying goes, ¡°It is better to light up a candle instead of blaming the ¡¡55 .¡±
